Carus Retail (Quintek) has merged with Winpos Group

Carus Retail (Quintek) has merged with Winpos Group to increase the development as a major international supplier of IT solutions for Point of Sale.

We are pleased to announce that effective from 1st April 2018, Carus Retail (Quintek) will join the Winpos Group AB and merge it’s UK operations to create ‘Winpos UK’.

This is a very exciting event for both companies, for our employees and our clients. Winpos shares the same values as Carus Retail (Quintek), our greatest assets have always been our people, and by joining forces we have just made a huge increase in the quality of that asset of which over the group we will now be 130 people strong.

Carus Retail (Quintek) and Winpos have been the leading companies in their respective market. By joining these two great forces together will mean greater things and a brighter future for all connected. Winpos UK will be able to provide customer many new services, products and areas of expertise in the future.

Winpos UK will continue to operate from our current offices.

Mikael Smedman continuing to lead the Point of Sale division as Group CEO for Winpos. “This is an important step for us, and it will make it possible to deliver bigger and more complex solutions to larger corporations”, says Mikael.

Winpos Group have appointed Tim Watson as Managing Director for Winpos UK, Tim will lead the UK Point of Sale division and he continues to add. “This is a great opportunity for our business right now and for our customers, technology for retailers alike is becoming the norm in today’s world and with this merger, we’ll be able to deliver proven and modern retail IT systems to many different types of retail operations, large and small”, says Tim.
